BeagleBone Blue, What is it?

Well BeagleBones are similiar to Raspberry Pis and the other single board computers. Basically a Linux computer on a circuit board the size of a credit card, +/-. They have many possible uses in FPV and sUAVs. Recently picked up one for a project and it looks good. It is similiar to a BeagleBone Black, but has much, if not all, of the sensors required to be used as an autopilot, specifically Ardupilot.

What are some of the features of the BeagleBone Blue?

  • 2 cell LiPo battery connector and build in charger
  • WiFI
  • Bluetooth
  • 9 axis IMU
  • Barometer
  • Multitute of I/O ports
  • 8 - 6V servo channels
  • 4 - DC motor outputs
